About the MPS Weft Cutter Group Complete
The MPS Weft Cutter Group Complete (M2) is the entire weft cutter assembly for the Van de Wiele MPS velvet loom, cutting the weft yarn on every pick. Cutter, arm and spring come together, so maintenance teams who want to renew the whole cutter area on an MPS loom can order it under one code. When it is unclear which component has worn, a complete group is often the fastest way to get the loom back into production.
Weft that is not cut, pulled or frayed ends at the edge and a cutter that closes late all point to the assembly. If you feel play in the linkage, the M3 MPS Weft Cutter Arm can be replaced separately; if the cutter does not return, check the M15 MPS Weft Cutter Spring.
