About the VME - VMM Mirror Flat Type
The VME - VMM Mirror Flat Type (M21) is the flat mirror used in the cutter area of Van de Wiele VME and VMM velvet looms. As part of the cutter group, it works on the weft cutting line. Since it is made for the VME and VMM models, it is listed separately from the MPS mirrors; simply state your loom model when ordering.
Scratches or burrs on the surface, yarn catching in the cutting area and irregular weft ends call for a check of the mirror. While inspecting it, look at the cutting inserts too; on VMM looms the M13 Weft Cutter Diamond VMM is often serviced at the same time. Other items are in the Cutter Group. Keep the cutting area free of yarn dust.
