About the Weft Cutter Diamond VMM
The Weft Cutter Diamond VMM (M13) is the cutting insert made specifically for the weft cutter of the Van de Wiele VMM velvet loom. Because it is shaped to the VMM cutter body, it is listed under its own code, separate from the general small and large diamonds. It cuts the weft on every pick and directly determines cut quality on the VMM.
Long or fibrous weft ends at the fabric edge, picks left uncut and yarn building up in the cutter area show that the diamond is getting dull. If the problem remains after changing the diamond, the linkage may also be worn; in that case consider the M1 VMM Weft Cutter Group Complete. Clean the seat and check the counter blade when changing the insert.

Can M13 be used on other looms?
M13 is made for the VMM weft cutter; for other models look at the M11 or M12 types.
Should I replace the diamond or the whole group?
If only the cut has deteriorated, the diamond is enough; if the linkage has play as well, the complete group is recommended.
