About the VMM Weft Cutter Group Complete
The VMM Weft Cutter Group Complete (M1) is the full weft cutter assembly for the Van de Wiele VMM velvet loom, the unit that trims the weft yarn at the fabric edge after every pick. It is supplied as one group, with cutting jaws, linkage and spring already together, so you fit it in a single job instead of adjusting individual pieces. It suits mills where several parts of the cutter area have worn at the same time.
Typical signs that the assembly needs attention are weft that is not cut or is torn rather than cut, long tails at the fabric edge and irregular noise from the cutter area. If only the cutting edge is tired, try the M13 Weft Cutter Diamond VMM first; if the linkage has play, the complete group is the lasting fix.
