About the MPS Male Guide
The MPS Male Guide (K15) is the track and guide part in which the male rapier runs on Van de Wiele MPS velvet looms. It keeps the rapier on the correct line as it enters and leaves the shed and stops it rubbing against the loom frame. It is shaped specifically for the male side, so it should not be confused with the female-side guide.
Replace K15 if the guide has worn a groove or channel, new rub marks appear on the rapier, the rapier catches on entry, or the guide has worked loose at its mounting. A worn guide can shorten the life of a newly fitted carbon rapier, so check the guide whenever you change the rapier.
