About the Pressure Roller
The Pressure Roller (K21) presses the rapier against the drive wheel on velvet looms so the two stay engaged without slipping. As the rapier changes direction on every pick, the roller runs under constant rotation and contact load. An even roller surface matters so the rapier travels without slipping and without unnecessary friction. Although it is a small part, it plays a decisive role in keeping the rapier system running without slip.
Replace the roller if you see uneven wear or flat spots, it sticks or makes noise when turning, or the rapier shows pressure marks. Check the shaft it runs on as well; depending on your loom, choose the MPS pressure roller shaft or the VME - VMM pressure roller shaft.
