About the Rapier Rear Block
The Rapier Rear Block (K8) sits at the rear end of the carbon rapier on velvet looms, supporting the rapier in its track and keeping it connected to the drive arrangement. Because the rapier moves back and forth on every pick, this small part works under constant load and friction. The K8 standard type is one of the most frequently requested parts when mills ask for a rapier rear block.
Replace the block if you notice play at the back of the rapier, a knocking sound as it moves, or crushing and cracks on the block surface. Play here can eventually affect the rapier itself and the head setting. If your loom uses a different design, compare it with the Rapier Rear Block (type 2) to choose the right one.
K8 is manufactured as a Göktürk-made equivalent. Send a photo of your current block and we will work out together whether you need K8 or type 2. Quotes on WhatsApp: +90 541 951 44 10.
