Göktürk Tekstil has launched a new website with a full online spare parts catalogue. We have been making and supplying parts for velvet and carpet weaving looms in Istanbul for more than thirty years, and the new site brings together the answers our customers usually ask for on the phone. This post explains what you will find on the site, how to use the catalogue and the quickest way to reach us. It was built with our export customers in India, Egypt, Indonesia and Italy in mind as much as mills in Türkiye.
What the new Göktürk Tekstil site offers
The site is designed to make the part-matching work we have always done by phone and photo faster and clearer. The main sections are:
- Coded product catalogue: every product has its own page with its catalogue code (such as K1, M5 or B12) and a photo.
- Product groups: parts are organised into 11 groups according to their job on the loom.
- Compatible models: where a part is known to belong to a specific Van de Wiele model (MPS, VMM, VME, CRP, CRX, CRT, CRM) or to Günne looms, the product page says so.
- English and Turkish content: the whole catalogue is available in both languages, so an overseas technician can quote the code and English name directly.
- Blog: regular articles on maintenance, fault finding and model comparisons.
- Contact: WhatsApp, phone, e-mail and a contact form.
Product groups in the catalogue
Parts are grouped by function. If you know which area of the loom is causing trouble, open that group and find the part by code.

How to get the most out of the catalogue
We suggest this workflow:
- Identify where the worn or broken part sits on the loom and open the matching group.
- Find your part from the photos and note the code.
- If the product page lists compatible models, compare them with your loom.
- If you are unsure, take a photo of the part you have.
- Send the code and photo on WhatsApp and let us do the matching.
For example, the VDW Carbon Rapier Set Complete (K1) page also points to the single-part options, so you can decide how much of the rapier system you actually need to renew.
Field note: When ordering, send a photo of the part fitted on the loom as well as on its own. Seeing where it mounts is the fastest way to tell apart two codes that look alike.
Why there are no prices on the site
We do not publish prices online. The price of a spare part depends on quantity, delivery terms, export packing and current material costs. An outdated price left on a web page wastes everyone’s time. Send us the part code on WhatsApp instead and we will reply with a current price and delivery time.
For export customers
The English pages exist so that maintenance teams abroad can identify parts in their own working language. Every product has a Turkish and an English page carrying the same code, so a technician in Egypt or India and our team in Istanbul can talk about exactly the same part. All dimensions stay metric.
What is coming on the blog
Over the coming weeks the blog will cover knife cord replacement, grinding stone selection, selvedge cutter faults, carbon rapier breakage and part differences between Van de Wiele models. The aim is practical, honest answers to questions we hear on the shop floor. We do not publish values we cannot stand behind; where we are unsure, we ask for a photo and look at it with you.

Are my old part codes still valid?
The catalogue codes are the ones shown on the site. If an older list you have uses different codes, send a photo of the part and we will find the match.
Can I ask about a part that is not listed?
Yes. The catalogue covers the parts most often requested; for anything you cannot find, ask us with a photo.
Which is faster, the contact form or WhatsApp?
If you need to send photos, WhatsApp is fastest. For a longer parts list, the form on the contact page or e-mail works well.
