About the CRX - CRT Carpet Knife Cord Drum

The B24 CRX - CRT Carpet Knife Cord Drum is the drum around which the knife cord is wound on Van de Wiele CRX and CRT carpet looms. In face-to-face carpet weaving, the pile between the two carpets is cut by a knife travelling across the loom width, and this drum drives the cord that pulls the knife slide. A drum that turns true with sound grooves lets the cord run without slipping and keeps the cut even between the two carpets.

Sharpened groove edges, the cord slipping on the drum, wobble as it turns or cord wear always at the same place all mean the drum should be checked. The B23 VME - VMM knife cord drum for velvet looms is a different part, so please state your carpet loom model when ordering. Other parts are in the Knife Group.

The B24 drum is a Göktürk-made equivalent supplied to CRX and CRT users. Send a photo of the drum and your loom model on WhatsApp +90 541 951 44 10 for a quote.
