About the Velvet Pulley Block
The P5 Velvet Pulley Block transfers jacquard motion to the harness cords on velvet looms. It does the same basic job as the carpet versions, sharing the jacquard lift across the cords so that warp ends form a clean shed, but it is a separate type designed around the velvet loom's jacquard layout. We confirm compatibility with your machine from a photo of the block currently fitted.
Pile faults, pattern shifts or certain groups of warp ends lifting late in the velvet are good reasons to check the pulleys. Worn pulleys and broken bodies are usually dealt with by replacing blocks in batches.
