About the Warp Regulator Pawl Spring
The C6 Warp Regulator Pawl Spring keeps the regulator pawl pressed firmly against the ratchet wheel so that it never loses engagement. At production speed the pawl has to seat on every cycle, and that depends entirely on the force this spring provides. When it weakens, the fault is often blamed on the pawl or the ratchet, although the spring is the real cause. We confirm the right spring for your loom by code or photo.
A stretched spring, opened coils or a cracked hook end allow the pawl to miss now and then, so let-off stops intermittently and faults appear at irregular intervals in the cloth. When fitting a new spring, also inspect the tip of the Warp Regulator Pawl; replacing both together gives a longer-lasting setting.
This spring is a Göktürk-made equivalent supplied from Istanbul. Send a photo of your old spring on WhatsApp +90 541 951 44 10 and we will reply with the matching part and a quotation.
FAQ
How can I tell the spring is fatigued?
Compared with a new spring it looks longer, the coils are opened and the pawl sits loosely on the ratchet.
What happens if the spring breaks?
The pawl no longer engages, let-off stops and tension-related faults in the fabric increase quickly.
