About the Warp Regulator Brake Lining
The C2 Warp Regulator Brake Lining is the friction surface that slows the warp beam inside the let-off regulator. Stable warp tension while the loom runs depends heavily on this lining making even, consistent contact. Because it is the part of the brake that wears first, many mills keep a few linings on the shelf rather than waiting for a failure. We confirm the correct type for your loom by catalogue code or photo.
A thin or glazed lining lets the brake slip, which shows up as uneven pick density and sudden warp release. Oil or fluff on the contact face reduces grip too, so clean the drum surface when you fit a new lining. If the housing is also damaged, the Warp Regulator Complete Brake Group is the quicker fix, and it is worth checking the Warp Regulator Pawl at the same time.
We supply this lining as a Göktürk-made equivalent from Istanbul. Share a photo of your worn lining and contact us on WhatsApp +90 541 951 44 10 for price and delivery details.
FAQ
How do I know the lining needs replacing?
A shiny, glazed surface, visibly thin friction material and uneven pick density in the fabric are the main signs.
What else should I check when changing the lining?
Make sure the contact face is free of oil and fluff, and check that the pawl and pawl spring still work correctly.
